Man killed, infant critically injured in West Oak Lane tractor-trailer accident

NewsWorks content partner NBC10 is reporting that a Sunday night collision between a tractor trailer and SUV in West Oak Lane left a 35-year-old man dead, a 2-year-old in critical condition and three other adults injured.

Police said the incident, which occurred near Washington Lane and Stenton Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday, was precipitated when an SUV apparently ran a stop sign and was hit by a tractor trailer.

The 35-year-old driver of the SUV, whose identity has not yet been released, was killed.

“An infant, who authorities say was sitting on the lap of a passenger during the time of the accident, was ejected from the SUV,” NBC10 reported. “The infant is in critical condition at Einstein Hospital.”
