Today marks the first day without Phillyist
After five-and-a-half years, today marks the first day without Phillyist. The blog posted its final item yesterday, as its editors move on to other projects.
You don’t need to remove the site from your RSS reader just yet. The site will stay up indefinitely for readers to enjoy the archive, and the Twitter page will remain up and mildly active.
Phillyist editors announced a couple weeks ago they’d post through the end of the month before closing up shop. Now, they’re onto a new, similar, independent project (unlike the Gothamist-published Phillyist) that’s expected to be up within the next six weeks.
