Three dead in N.J. after weekend storms

Overnight on Friday the area was hit with devastating storms. The thunder and lightning’s performance was both awe inspiring and deadly leaving Atlantic County in a state of emergency, over a hundred thousand without power, and at least three dead.

About 2 a.m. early Saturday morning, a tree toppled onto a tent where a family was camping in Parvin State Park in Salem County. The tree killed two young cousins from Millville, ages 7 and 2, reports Philly.com.

A fisherman was also killed after being swept overboard in the waters off of Atlantic City, near the Brigantine Bridge. His body was found later that morning.
