New Castle County Police believe the attacker in this latest incident Monday night was also responsible for two other recent attacks.

A Pike Creek woman told police she was attacked by a man with his face covered outside the Bluffs Apartments around 6:30 Monday night. Police said the attacker displayed a handgun, demanded money and forced her into her apartment. Another adult in the apartment was able to scare the attacker off. He fled on foot.

Police said while the investigation is in its initial stages, detectives believe the same suspect is responsible for similar attacks at the Top of the Hill Apartments and the Arundel Apartments last month.

The suspect is described as a 5’7″- 5’8″ tall man with an average build who was wearing dark clothing.
