Thieves in Pottstown, Vineland get elaborate

Some big-dreaming thieves involved in separate incidents in Vineland and Pottstown recently got a little ambitious with their crimes.

Two thieves in Pottstown have been charged with setting their sights on the big haul. They stole steaks and caviar from a local supermarket. One of the involved parties previous stole $45,000 worth of metal.

In Vineland, scammers were unsuccessful in convincing a woman she’d won a prize. Probably because the award was too good to be true.  The Vineland resident was pretty sure she hadn’t won $750,000 and a new Mercedes, and local police and the Department of Homeland Security confirmed she hadn’t. Efforts to trace the phone scammer connected authorities to an addiction recovery center in New York.
