Theft charges for N.J. pair who collected donations under false pretenses

Two men are charged with stealing $7.94 from Glendora, N.J., residents when police realized the pair was collecting cash for a basketball team they have no affiliation with.

The Gloucester County Times reports the men were arrested Thursday based on a tip from the Gloucester Township Neighborhood Watch.

Mark Miller and Tracey Mauz went door-to-door telling neighbors they were collecting money for the Glen Landing Middle School Basketball. Turns out they weren’t.
