The ridiculous and the sublime

Here are two images that I’ve taken in the park recently which seem to go together.

I see them as two different offerings. One is an offering to nature, and the other an offering to the human ego. The paper crane is one of many that have been left for at least three or four years in the same spot in the park. Has anyone else noticed these?

If you only see the sublime image, go back to the Germantown/West Oak Lane page and you’ll see the ridiculous. I can’t get them both on the same page.
