The race for the Eighth District

Voters came to the Chestnut Hill Presbyterian Church Monday night to talk about what they want in the next Eighth District City Council member. At the primary election in May voters will select a Democratic candidate for the race from seven choices. That person will likely be the next Eighth District City Council member in November because the Republican party is not running a candidate.

A big part of the activities at the forum is for voters to form the questions and select the important points to focus on during the April 27th candidates’ debate sponsored by NewsWorks and its partner organizations.

Don’t miss the feature story coming Tuesday about the voter forum, and make sure to make it out to the next voter forum April 5 at 6:30 at the Commodore Barry Club in Mt. Airy. Make your voice heard.
