Termination hearing scheduled for displaced Audenried teacher

Hope Moffett has a 204 hearing tomorrow. She’ll make her case to the School District of Philadelphia at a termination hearing, which stems from her speaking out against plans for Audenried High School to be run as a charter.

As the Notebook reports, Moffett has received a letter asking her to appear before the School Reform Commission tomorrow morning. She could be terminated as early as Wednesday.

Moffett was removed from Audenried last month after encouraging students to speak out against the Renaissance takeover. She was then relocated to a basement classroom in Strawberry Mansion High School.

The School District is seeking action, saying Moffett endangered the welfare of her students and disclosed confidential documents.
