Teachers, bosses charged in NJ school sex scandal

Three New Jersey high school teachers are charged with having improper sexual relationships with female students — and two administrators face charges for allegedly covering it up.

Camden County authorities announced the charges Thursday.

Triton High School Principal Catherine DePaul and Assistant Principal Jernee Kollock face official misconduct charges for allegedly failing to report the relationships to authorities.

Teachers Dan Michielli, Nick Martinelli and Jeff Logandro face charges including sexual assault, child endangerment and criminal sexual contact.

All five could face at least five years in prison. County Prosecutor Warren Faulk says a student told DePaul in April that a teacher was having a sexual relationship with another student, but the information wasn’t forwarded to law enforcement. Kollock allegedly helped the girl write her statement to make it sound less serious.
