Tax break

    Starting off the new year with some good news, Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell said today the state collected more revenue than expected last month.

    Rendell said in a press conference today the state collected $2.3 billion in December — $191.2 million more than expected and a 15.5 percent increase from December 2009, according to a report from the Associated Press. Every tax category came in higher than anticipated.
