Suspect arrested after road-rage killing

Police officials said the murder of a young man in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia could likely be attributed to road rage.

According to several reports, Jamil Ransome, 20, was shot to death Friday night near Frankford and Devereaux Avenues.

Police said that the suspect, Donald Griffith, 42, got out of his vehicle after getting into a car accident with Ransome. An argument ensued, and out of rage, police said, Griffith shot Ransome several times and then fled the scene.

Ransome was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after 9 p.m. Griffith was later arrested and charged with homicide.
