Surgery

Gov. Tom Corbett is scheduled to undergo back surgery for spinal stenosis this morning.

He’s at the  Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, and plans to resume his duties on Tuesday while recuperating at his home in Allegheny County. He’ll then return to Harrisburg at the end of the week.

Lt. Gov. James Cawley will serve as acting governor until Corbett resumes his duties.
