Study will evaluate architecture, history of Family Court building

When construction on Philadelphia’s new Family Court building ends, the current building at 1801 Vine St. will have even less of an identity.

But the city has expressed interest in redeveloping the property, and Eyes on the Street reports a Request for Proposals has been issued for professionals to assess the building’s condition. Three factors will be considered: accuracy of the building drawings, environmental conditions and historic preservation.

The new building will be at 15th and Arch streets.
