Assemblyman from southern NJ leaving office
A state assemblyman from southern New Jersey says he’s leaving office next month and has abandoned his plans to seek re-election in November, the AP reports.
Burlington County Republican Pat Delany announced his intentions yesterday, citing personal and family matters that require his “full and immediate attention”
Delany joined the Assembly last November, filling a vacancy created when fellow Republican Dawn Addiego was appointed to a vacant state senate seat.
A GOP spokesman said Delany would formally step down on Aug. 13.
