Reporter Tom MacDonald is at the mayor’s press conference, where he announced Philadelphia will host a handful of NCAA playoff events over the next few years.

Tom reports: “The City of Philadelphia is hosting a half dozen NCAA playoff and final events between now and 2014. The events range from the NCAA wrestling and women’s basketball regional this year to the frozen four hockey championships in 2014. NCAA officials say the city has a great deal to offer with its varied facilities.”
