South Jersey bar fight ends with multiple stabbings

    A fight broke out on the dance floor of a New Jersey night club late last night sending multiple patrons and security guards to area hospitals suffering from stab wounds and broken ribs.

    According to a statement released by the Cherry Hill Police Department, the fight began at Top Dog night club on the second floor dance floor. Security guards were in the area and attempted to break up the fight, which began between two individuals, but then spread to include other parties who were not involved in the original action.

    Two of Top Dog’s security personnel were injured: one sustained broken ribs and the other was stabbed in the leg.

    Further investigation of the scene revealed that three other patrons who were involved in the larger melee were also stabbed: Stephen Campbell, Jamar Washington and Antoine Cochrane, all of Willingboro, New Jersey.

    Police have identified the assailant as Daniel Skillings, 32, of Sicklerville, New Jersey. Skillings is being charged with four counts of aggravated assault with injury in addition to weapons charges. He is currently being held in a Camden County jail.

    All of the victims were treated for their wounds and released from area hospitals.
