Street is a son of former Philadelphia Mayor John Street, and Blackwell Watson is the daughter of former Congressman Lucien Blackwell and is the step daughter to City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell.
Jannie Blackwell is supporting Sharif Street in this battle to represent the district that includes West Philadelphia and Fairmount Park.
In North Philadelphia in the 180th house district, Democrat Angel Cruze, the only Latino in the Pennsylvania House is being challenged by another hispanic candidate Jonathan Ramos. The last time Ramos challenged Cruze, he garnered 45 percent of the vote.
