Solar ideas: Washington Township school board hears solar pitch

The Wahsington Township School Board is getting a look at the future.

According to NJ.com, the school board heard several renewable energy pitches during last week’s special board of education meeting.

During the four-hour meeting, board members heard from six companies offering everything from solar panel ideas to geothermal pipes.

NJ.com reports planned purchase agreements (PPAs) could be the best option for the district to enter into an agreement with a solar energy company, where work would be done at no cost to the district and the district would profit from selling solar renewable energy credits.
