A small plane made an emergency landing on Route 72 in Stafford late this morning.

The plane landed on the highway shortly after 10 a.m. near Home Depot, police said.

According to the initial investigation, the small single engine plane was carrying students from the Skydive East Coast school when it lost power, forcing the pilot to land on the highway’s grass median, according to the Stafford Township Police Department.

No vehicles were involved. One skydive instructor was treated for a small cut on his arm.
