Slurpees saving Washington

Here’s a sweet thought to savor during your commute home on this dreary day.

President Barack Obama has announced the White House will reach out to Republicans in order for the two parties to work together. 7-Eleven wants to help.

After hearing Obama’s plan, 7-Eleven reportedly reached out to the White House about organizing a Slurpee Summit. Yes, you read that right.

The convenience store will launch an advertising campaign this week with a theme of togetherness, and will carry that concept to DC, where 7-Eleven has offered to supply red, blue and purple Slurpees for the Democratic/Republican summit.

We can’t think of a better symbol of respect, collaboration and adulthood than politcally themed Slurpees.
