Shore spruce up underway
Perhaps a sure sign that winter can’t last forever is the beach replinishment underway at Delaware Beaches.
Beaches from Fenwick north to Rehoboth will get more sand added to their public beaches. The whole project is expected to run $22.7 million.
In Bethany there is an additional $1.5 million spruce up underway . The town’s capital improvement fund and transfer tax revenues, along with a grant from the Delaware Department of Transportation will pay for the renovations.
The project involves the relocation of utility lines and the removal of poles on Garfield Parkway.
