Reporter Tom MacDonald is at Mayor Nutter’s press conference, where plans for the upcoming Martin Luther King Day of Service have been announced.
Tom reports: “Mayor Michael Nutter and Todd Bernstein of Global Citizen (pictured) announced a record 75,000 people are expected for the MLK Day of Service. The event is part of a nationwide effort to involve people in community service on the holiday marking the slain civil rights leader. Girard college will be the center of the event which will also include social networking outreach.”
