SEPTA service resumes after man hit by train at 22nd Street
SEPTA has resumed service after a fatal accident this morning underground.
Service to the Market-Frankford El was cut off this morning and people were evacuated from the train after a man was fatally struck, Action News reports.
“NO train service btwn 15th & 40th St Stations. Shuttle buses will operate btwn 15th and 40th Sts Stations due to police activity,” SEPTA tweeted after the 6 a.m. accident.
The victim, a 45-year-old man, was hit by a westbound train around 22nd and Market streets where there is no platform.
Residual delays are expected.
