SEPTA announces its role in Philabundance food drive

SEPTA is getting a head start on its food drive partnership with Philabundance. The drive officially begins next week, but representatives from both agencies will join Mayor Michael Nutter this afternoon for the grand announcement.

The “STOP Hunger At Your Station” will collect food items for Philabundance at all Regional Rail, subway and bus stations throughout the region. Collections begin Monday, June 6 and run through Monday, June 20.

Common items needed include canned tuna, canned pasta, canned beef ravioli and plastic jars of creamy peanut butter and jelly.
