Senate committee considers Markell’s nominee for Sec. of Education
The Senate Executive Committee is expected to consider Gov. Markell’s pick to replace Lillian Lowery as Secretary of Education.
The committee will consider the nomination of Mark Murphy to be the next leader of the Delaware Department of Education. The hearing will be held in the Senate chambers at 2:30 p.m. Lowery is leaving her post as Secretary to take the same position in the Maryland Department of Education.
