    Two weeks into the new year and Wilmington police officers are investigating the city’s second homicide.

    Last night at 6:30 p.m., police were called to a garage in the 1200 block of N. Locust St. for reports of a “subject down.” There, police found a 28-year-old male who had been shot in his upper torso. The victim later died at the hospital.

    Anyone with information relative to this investigation is asked to call Detective Pete Leccia at 302-576-3647. 

    Meanwhile, Wilmington detectives identified Ira Brown, 20, as the victim who was shot and killed, Monday night. Five people, including Brown, were shot that night in the 900 block of Brown Street. No suspect(s) have been named. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Randy Nowell at 302-576-3632.
