Sea change

It’s cold on the waterfront. And with more snow expected this week, people aren’t likely to be touring sea vessels. That’s why the Battleship New Jersey is closed for the winter.

The nasty winter weather keeps folks away, and makes time on the water a bit uncomfortable. So the ship is closed to the public for the month of January, CBS3 reports.

Six seasonal employees have been laid off and will return to work when tours resume, first on a limited basis, when the weather warms up.

If you’re looking for a nautical fix this month, you’ll have to find it elsewhere.
