School District sets sale prices for 12 Philly buildings

Can you put a price on education? Maybe not, but you can definitely put one on education buildings.

The School District of Philadelphia has lots of old buildings and lots of empty pockets, so it’s finally set the sale prices of a dozen buildings.
The old West Philly High building is the most expensive at $6.5 million, but you could pick up a pair of Kensington schools for $250k each.

The price list is an addition to the district’s Request for Qualifications as it seeks buyers for its building surplus. It’s all part of the district’s facilities master plan to evaluate buildings’ conditions, make the most of what’s in good condition and unload the excess.
