Saturday Garden State Parkway accident kills four high school students

The Egg Harbor Township community is mourning the death of four teenagers after they were killed Saturday when their sport utility vehicle crashed on the Garden State Parkway in Southern New Jersey.

WPVI-TV reports the accident happened shortly before noon in the southbound lanes near exit 38A.

    Four others were injured.

Investigators tell WPVI-TV the driver of the SUV apparently lost control as it went around a crest in the road and approached heavy traffic.  The SUV overturned several times, ejecting two passengers, one of whom was struck by a passing car, according to WPVI-TV.
