Roxborough

See Zydeco-a-Go-Go perform live at Gorgas Park. The band plays classic New Orleans rhythm and blues in a “spicy gumbo of Louisiana dance music.” Hear the accordion and frattoir (rubboard) augmented by saxophone, electric guitar, electric bass and drums.

The concert will be held on Thursday Aug. 9 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the park, located at Ridge Ave. and Hermitage Street. Refreshments will be available and all proceeds will benefit the Friends of Gorgas Park. Visit www.gorgaspark.com for more information.

Zydeco-a-Go-Go’s motto is: “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!” or “Let The Good Times Roll!” Their performances feature lyrics sung in English, Spanish, Cajun and Creole French. To learn more, find the band on Facebook.
