Romney-Ryan ticket would devour the middle class

With his selection of Paul Ryan as his veep, Romney hopes to entice Americans to vote for an all-out assault on what remains of the middle class: More tax cuts for the wealthiest among us and savage cuts in the social programs the rest of us depend on.

All this is to be done in the name of lowering the national debt, but independent analysts say that this budget would add to the debt, not reduce it.

So thank you, Mitt Romney, for ensuring that the remainder of the campaign will be about what you’re really up to.
