Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler calls Allentown blast victim

A woman who lost nearly everything in the gas explosion that killed five people and leveled her Pennsylvania neighborhood has gained some encouragement from one of her heroes.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler gave 28-year-old Patty Grabowski a call recently, The Allentown Morning call reports.  She lost the dress she planned to wear to her June wedding and mementos of her childhood. She nearly lost her parents and her cat Tally, named after the rocker whose real name is Steven Tallarico.

Grabowski found it therapeutic to write to the Grammy-winning “American Idol” judge after the Feb. 9 blast. She said she was shocked to pick up the phone Thursday and hear Tyler’s voice.
