Philadelphia Police: Olney man suspected of third armed robbery since late June

An Olney man who police have linked to a pair of Game Stop robberies this summer has struck again.

According to police, Maurice Connelly allegedly entered the Parks Shoe Center, 2732 Germantown Ave., around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 27, grabbed $100 in cash from the cash register and ran off toward Somerset Street. He was armed with a chrome handgun.

On consecutive days in late June, Connelly allegedly robbed Game Stop locations at 5301 Chew Ave. and 2900 N. Broad St., in East Germantown and Glenwood respectively, police said.

During the most recent robbery, he was wearing a white Orlando baseball cap, white tank top, blue cargo shorts and dark blue sneakers.
