Reward offered in 35-year-old homicide case

    It was 1975 when 17-year-old Patrick O’Neill was fatally shot after interrupting a burglary in his family’s South Jersey home. Now his older brother has offered a reward for information leading to closure.

    As the Inquirer reports, new information in O’Neill’s death came about in the fall, and police in Gloucester County have been conducting interviews since then. The house, which had been broken into several times prior to O’Neill’s murder, has since been demolished.
