Report: Montgomery County assistant district attorney suspended

A Montgomery County assistant district attorney has been suspended, but the office is keeping mum on why.

The Intelligencer reports Karen Ricca, head of the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition program, was suspended April 27 without pay.
The program is a pre-trial option for first-time, nonviolent offenders, and Ricca was charged with approving and rejecting applications.

District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman has confirmed Ricca’s suspension but has not commented further on the matter.
