Report: Dead body found in Deal Lake Monday afternoon
Authorities have removed a body that a fisherman spotted floating in Deal Lake off Asbury Park Monday afternoon, according to an Asbury Park Sun report.
Police responded to the call around 2:30 p.m. and found the body in a drain runoff area west of the train tracks in the extreme northern end of Asbury Park, Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, told the publication.
Authorities have not identified the gender, and an autopsy is slated for Tuesday, according to the report.
