Gone for a bit

I’ll be away until Wednesday getting some R&R.

When you have a moment, listen to the first two and a half minutes (or more) of this video of Ed Rendell addressing the Pennsylvania delegation to the Democratic National Convention , courtesy of the Pennsylvania Independent. He tells a wonderful tale involving a past convention and the late Catherine Baker Knoll, once Rendell’s lieutenant governor. I wonder if it’s entirely accurate, but it’s a great story.

It reminds me of what a gifted political communicator Rendell was when he was in the game. I think he’s better at that than being a pundit.

And if you want a little fun speculation, check out the Inquirer’s Amy Worden’s ruminations on the notion of Ed staging a political comeback.
