Reassessment shows more progress on Route 52 Causeway than thought

A reassessment of the construction along Route 52 in Ocean City and Somers Point, NJ, reveals the causeway won’t have to close as previously thought.

Instead, traffic will shift along parts of the highway, with two lanes open for the morning commute, the Press of Atlantic City reports. By adding workers and shifts, the construction crew projects three lanes will be open by Memorial Day, and four by June 24.
