Castle is running on the platform of experience. He knows Washington through his seventeen years as the lone Delaware Congressman, he has been in elected office for 40 years and has fought for Delawareans and has legislative record to show for it.
On the Issues:
Economy:
On the economy, Castle wants to minimize government spending, let small businesses thrive, and the economy will grow. Get Delawareans back to work.
National Security and Foreign Policy:
Castle’s moderateness continues into his views on foreign policy, specifically the war in Iraq. He voted against sending more troops to Iraq without a plan for the expansion of diplomatic strategy, and has called for intense diplomacy throughout the Middle East.
Education:
Castle is a member of the House Education and Labor Committee and has called for dramatic changes to the education system in order to improve student success. He also has called for broadening access for Americans to our universities and colleges.
Energy and the Environment:
Wants to pursue American energy independence, expand renewable energy such as wind and solar, and further develop nuclear energy.
Health Care:
Voted down Obama Health Care Bill, but wants to expand Americans ability to get care by “reducing the skyrocketing cost of health care by holding insurance companies accountable, ending Medicare fraud and abusive medical lawsuits, and making sure people with pre-existing conditions are no longer denied coverage.” –from his website
