Pumpkins fly through the Delaware skies; another Punkin’ Chunkin’ weekend goes in the books

    Flying pumpkins ruled Sussex County Delaware this weekend. The 23rd Punkin’ Chunkin’ event in Bridgeville was viewed by over 70,000 people.

    Over 2,000 pumpkins filled the Delaware skies in Sussex County this weekend. The 23rd Punkin’ Chunkin’ event in Bridgeville was viewed by over 70,000 people.

    The big winner this year was “The Big Ten inch”, which shot its pumpkin over 4100 feet. Old Glory came in second. Their pumpkin landed just under 4,000 feet.
