Progressive group leaders release voter’s guide
Republicans hope polls showing a tide of GOP voter enthusiasm, will peak on November 2nd. Today, a dozen progressive organizations announced a new common election endorsement program aimed at helping progressive candidates close that gap.
Republicans hope polls showing a tide of GOP voter enthusiasm, will peak on November 2nd. Today, a dozen progressive organizations announced a new common election endorsement program aimed at helping progressive candidates close that gap.
It’s nothing new that unions are banding together with environmental, reproductive rights and education groups during election season. But organizers say this is the first time they have put together a tool that will allow voters to see endorsements of each of the organizations.
Ian Moran is with the non-profit group, Education Voters of Pennsylvania.
“There is a lot of talk about the enthusiasm gap and I think progressives and Democrats need to really realize what’s at stake in this election. I think they need to get as much information as they can about the candidates and you know I think that knowledge is power, so that should help them there.”
This won’t be your grandfather’s voting guide. It will be sent out via email…and will be available on mobile phones so people can bring it into the voting booth.
