Professor salaries at University of Delaware higher than national average

A new report of professor salaries at American universities shows professor salaries at the University of Delaware are about $20,000 higher than the national average.

The average full-time professor, the Associated Press reports, makes $101,500.

Joan DelFattore, president of the university’s chapter of the American Association of University Professors., says the higher salaries are the result of the union’s mature bargaining relationship with the school, and that the union aims for fair raises that keep the university competitive.
