Priest defends himself against sex allegations

A priest suspended as part of the Philadelphia sex abuse scandal went on the defensive  and denied any wrongdoing during a radio talk show today.

Appearing on WPHT with Dom Giordano, the Rev. Joseph DiGregorio flatly denied that he had groped a girl – identified only as Donna – in the late 1960s.

A grand jury report released last week by the Philadelphia District Attorney was critical of how the church had handled DiGregorio’s case. According to WPVI, another priest, who subsequently left the church, has admitted to fondling the girl. The 16-year-old girl said both priests abused her.
