Police release video in auto repair shop theft on Indian Queen Lane

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect who stole a $500 gun from Joe’s Auto Repair on Indian Queen Lane around 9 p.m. on Monday.

Surveillance video from the shop shows the man taking the half-inch impact gun from a tool box. It is believed that the man frequented the shop before and asked about employment.

The suspect is described as a 5’8″ African American male between the ages of 30 and 40 years old with a possible gray beard. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants, a dark-colored baseball cap and shoulder bag. The video shows him walking with a limp.

Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
