Police seek help solving Olney pool-hall robbery
Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who robbed an Olney Avenue pool hall on Nov. 29.
It was about 7:15 p.m. when an unknown male entered 123 Billiards, located across the street from the Olney Plaza Shopping Center at 101 W. Olney Ave. Armed with a handgun, he demanded money from a cashier. The cash register was empty on that floor, so the suspect went to the next floor where the cashier handed him $300 in cash after seeing the gun. The gunman then ran off in an unknown direction.
Police describe him as a Hispanic male with a light complexion and thin build, around 25 years old with tattoos on the right side of his neck believed to be stars. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red-and-black pajama pants with white sneakers at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information on the suspect, or his whereabouts, is asked to call Northwest Detectives at 215-686-3353, or 3354.
