Police respond to bomb threat at Freehold movie theater
UPDATE: Police did not find any physical threat. Authorities are leaving the scene as of 7:15 p.m. The theater plans to reopen within the hour.
Authorities are investigating a bomb threat at a Freehold movie theater.
Police responded to the AMC Freehold Metroplex near the Freehold Raceway Mall around 5:30 p.m. on a report of a bomb threat and evacuated the premises.
Numerous law enforcement officers, including K-9s, are on the scene as of 6:45 p.m.
It was not immediately clear how the threat was made.
A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of the Freehold Raceway Mall earlier this year.
