Police: Philly man missing with 5 year-old daughter

Philadelphia police are searching for a man they say disappeared with his 5-year-old daughter while taking her to school.

Police say 35-year-old Akram Freikha and his daughter Evelina were last seen leaving their home in the city’s Grays Ferry section around 8 a.m. Monday.

Police say they never showed up at the school and Akram never returned home to take his wife to work.

Freikha’s wife tells police there weren’t any marital problems. She says he’s taken off with their 9-year-old daughter in the past without her knowing, but returned within 24 hours.
