Police arrest Hunting Park man for pointing laser at helicopter

Just a few months after a man was sentenced to jail for shining a laser at a Philadelphia Police helicopter, a Hunting Park man has been arrested for the same offense.

Police arrested 23-year-old Brian Lawhon last night after the pilot and co-pilot of the chopper reported having a laser shined at them while they flew. Both said they experienced temporary pain and blurred vision, as KYW reports.

Lawhon, who reportedly was carrying a laser pen at the time of his arrest, faces a couple years in jail and an $11,000 fine.
