Police: 100 arrested in Philadelphia drug raids
Officials in Philadelphia say a massive drug sweep netted 100 alleged dealers and busted up a cockfighting ring.
Police said Thursday they served 90 search warrants in several North and Northeast Philadelphia neighborhoods, confiscating cocaine, marijuana, heroin and other drugs worth nearly $200,000 on the street.
Investigators say the search also turned up $41,000 in cash and 30 guns.
The Pennsylvania Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals also seized nearly 100 birds from a suspected cockfighting operation run out of one of the homes raided.
